“The body is not made up of one part but of many.” – 1 Corinthians 12:14

Founded in 1921, the General Missionary Baptist State Convention of Indiana, Incorporated (GMBSCI) is one of 62 State Baptist Conventions that is affiliated with the National Baptist Convention, USA, Incorporated.  By way of voluntary membership, the GMBSCI functions as an autonomous organization and is individually incorporated independent of other State Conventions.  The convention is supported by individuals in Indiana that may be members of the national convention, the membership of churches and the district associations.

The five district associations that comprise the GMBSCI are the Brotherhood District Association, the Institutional District Association, the Northern District Association, the Southern District Association and the Union District Association.  The districts, organized by GMBSCI, serve as leadership umbrellas to the member churches in various cities across Indiana.

These cities include Anderson, East Chicago, Elkhart, Evansville, Fort Wayne, Gary, Hammond, Indianapolis, Kokomo, Marion, Mishawaka, Muncie, South Bend and Terre Haute.
